Sunrise Grief Retreat
Please note that the loss you are most wanting support around needs to be six months in the past before you enter into retreat space. This allows you time to process through the shock of the loss and begin leaning into the reality of the person no longer being physically part of your life.
All retreat participants need to have had some experience with formal support processes addressing the loss they are most focused on before coming into the retreat. This may be having individual or group counselling, meeting with a clergy person to talk about your loss or some other source of organized support. Holding sustained attention to your loss and having practice talking about it is needed before you move into an intensive retreat process.
If you are going through medication changes, this process needs to be stabilized before coming into retreat. You will gain the most from the retreat if you are able to rest and sustain attention.
Adopting practices of journaling, poetry, creating art, colouring, grief yoga etc., can support you profoundly, and also let you know where you need more focused support. It can assist you in coming into retreat space with more intention for yourself.
Ensure your loved ones and the beings relying on your care/presence, are ready to have you away for a handful of days, and are comfortable with you not being in cell phone contact.

If you are wishing to access more support while you wait, most communities have supports available
through their Hospice Society, and there are on-line grief support groups for specific losses
available through grief.com including many written resources.
We are with you in spirit, and look forward to supporting you actively in the future.
